It is with regret that we have decided to cancel all our boat trips until 2021.  This is because we are waiting for a new boat to be delivered which has been held up in the factory, and the provisional delivery date is October.  Given that this is getting into Winter we are going to leave the boat out of the water and ensure that we begin operating in March 2021.

Thank you for your understanding during these difficult times and we look forward to seeing you next year!

The Exhilarating Powerboat experience!

Edinburgh Boat Trips delivers adrenaline fuelled powerboat trips from its base in South Queensferry, and are proud to operate the newest and safest powerboats in the Firth of Forth.

Edinburgh Boat Trips have just taken delivery of two brand new Rigid Inflatable Boats, which are designed to travel fast and safely in the worst weather the North Sea can create.  The boats are fully equipped with the highest standards of navigation, communications, and safety equipment. All personal safety equipment required for guests is provided, including lifejackets, jackets, and waterproof trousers.

This is simply the best way to see the incredible sights, wildlife,  islands, and enthralling history situated on and around the Firth of Forth.

Trips take in the UNESCO listed Forth Rail Bridge, the brand new Queensferry Crossing, and the original Forth Road Bridge.  We can also see the Blackness Castle (where parts of Outlander were filmed), Incholm Island and its ancient 13th Century Abbey, Cramond Island, and Incmickery which was built to look like a battleship.

The wildlife that lives on the Firth of Forth is hugely varied and includes Fulmars, Gannets, Puffins, and thousands of varieties of gull.  We often see dolphins, sometimes see Orcas, and always see seals! For photographers and wildlife enthusiasts then this is the way to see it all up close!

Guests can choose from any of our scheduled experiences, from a 1 hour blast to see the Forth Bridges and Blackness Castle, to a full day trip to see North Berwick, the Bass Rock and with a stop for lunch at the Lobster Shack.  Alternatively you can contact us to book a bespoke trip for a special occasion, such as a birthday celebration, Stag and Hen dos, Team Building or Corporate Activities, or a truly memorable family day out.

Gift Vouchers

If you would like to purchase someone a unique and memorable experience, then offer gift vouchers.  These can be redeemed towards the cost of any of the activities we offer, such as an RYA Powerboat course or an adrenaline fuelled powerboat trip to see the islands and wildlife on the Firth of Forth.  You can specify which course you would like the voucher to be used for, or leave it up to the individual to choose.  The individual has plenty of time to redeem it, as the voucher will have a years validity.
