Edinburgh Marine Academy is a marine training centre based at Port Edgar Marina, just outside Edinburgh. The Academy provides all levels of RYA training for those just beginning to go out on the water and looking to purchase their first boat, right up to those who want to work in a marine environment. All training is delivered by qualified and experienced RYA / MCA instructors in house at our Queensferry base, or can be delivered in a location of your choosing, such as a place of work.
The Edinburgh Marine Academy was set up by Chris Bradby, who was instrumental in the highly successful rejuvenation of Port Edgar Watersports CIC in 2013. A suitable gap in the training market was identified, which included the provision of professional delivery of powerboat and commercial marine training, delivered by uniquely qualified instructors using high class equipment, in an easily accessible location with a widely varying operating area.
Clients range from leisure users who are looking for training and advice on how to use their boat safely and get the most out of it, up to commercial employees with many years of nautical experience who are looking to become Instructors or commercially endorse their certificates for use with Windfarms, Fish Farms, or the Oil and Gas industry. Our instructors all have experience in all sectors of the industry and will tailor their delivery to ensure that the client receives the most appropriate tuition.
The Edinburgh Marine Academy also delivers bespoke training and services, which might include own boat tuition, a powerboat trip for a celebration or event, or boat charter for filming and survey work. We are keen to discuss your requirements on an individual basis, so please drop in to our Queensferry office for a chat, or contact us using the details below.
